About IRM IRM (Institut de Recherche Microbiologique) was created in 1989. We are a private, independent microbiology laboratory specialized in the study of antimicrobial agents. Since our inception, we’ve conformed to NF EN ISO/CEI 17025 standards for quality and in 1991 we received accreditation from COFRAC (Comité FRançais d'ACcréditation) for “Programme 6: essais de détermination de l'efficacité des antiseptiques et désinfectants" (Program 6: trials for the determination of antiseptic and disinfectant efficacy). We provide accurate and reproducible results and our reference tests satisfy the requirements of regulatory authorities when seeking approvals in France and other countries.
